I'm looking at the MK1U with a Ruggeduino ET. I have a marine application that needs to be mounted on a buoy with a solar panel and battery. Is there room in the housing for an arduino compatible solar charge controller?

Hi Mike! Very interesting application indeed! Thanks for reaching out. Is there any chance you can provide the spec for the Arduino solar charge controller? That way we can verify If it would fit.... thanks!
I was looking at this one. I don't see complete measurement specs, though. Google "MPPT 5A Solar Panel Regulator Controller Battery Charging 9V 12V 24V Automatic Switch" if the link doesn't work.

Hi Michael, it appears as though this wouldn’t fit. The heat sink is too large. Is there any shields that mount directly to an Arduino Uno? Other option is if you have good prototype and soldering skills you could wire in a custom controller board in the proto area of the MK1U.
